Community Involvement

The Geneva Garden Club is actively involved in volunteer activities around town. This past summer we had the pleasure of hosting several groups to the Fabyan Japanese Garden. In addition, our beautification efforts around town include maintaining Garden Club Park in conjunction with the Geneva Park District, designing and maintaining planters in and around town and more.

Friends from France Visit Japanese Garden

Geneva’s International Cultural Exchange Committee and Geneva Garden Club members recently hosted a delegation from France at the Fabyan Forest Preserve Japanese Garden. The delegation from Croissy-sur-Seine, our sister city and a beautiful town on the banks of the Seine outside of Paris enjoyed a beautiful day learning about the plants and structures and their significance to the garden.

Rising Lights Project Visits Japanese Garden

Geneva Garden Club volunteers recently had the pleasure of giving a private tour of the Fabyan Japanese Garden to members of the Rising Lights Project, a not-for-profit organization that teaches gardening skills to adults with special needs. You can check them out at https://risinglightsproject.org.
