A
look back at the Geneva Garden Club...
Established
in 1928, the Geneva Garden Club takes pride in its' continued
mission to advance home gardening, community beautification and
horticultural education.
The
beautiful Hollyhock is the Club's flower and "Keep Geneva;s
Charm" its' motto. In 1928 a small group of women
gathered together to share the joys of gardening and promote
philanthropic works.
In
1932, the Geneva Garden Club distributed 400 packets of seeds for
Geneva studentsto sow and watch grow. In the 1970's the Club
became involved in the restoration of the Japanese Garden at Fabayan
Forest Preserve.
